Meet the Maker
Hi! I’m Jennifer
Hi, I am Jennifer Moles,
the sugar artist behind Sweet Pea Sugar Flowers. My lifelong need to create beautiful things and share them brought me here on a path both straight and circuitous. I have an undergraduate degree in Photography and Art History from Hiram College in NE Ohio, and a Masters Degree in Art History from UNC Chapel Hill. I absolutely LOVED every minute of it, but sadly neither degree did anything to prepare me for any kind of career in the real world, and I have eventually landed in a day job in the tech industry. My job offers no room for any kind of creativity- you have NO idea.

I ran across the wonderful world of sugar flowers,
in my many forays into the world of creativity, thirsting to fulfill the artist in me. I took a class from the great Nicholas Lodge in January of 2010, and I was hooked! As a matter of fact, driving home from that class, I stopped to see my dear friends Craig and Lucy Sue and volunteered to make their wedding cake with peonies and anemones AND drive it to Ohio!! The rest is cakey history.
By the way, I don’t deliver to Ohio anymore…
I can’t wait to meet you! XO
Jen
Happy Clients

"Jen's attention to detail and artistry is incomparable. She made my wedding cake exactly how I was envisioning it. My design was a little unique and she was able to execute it perfectly. She is a true artist and I would definitely recommend Sweet Pea Sugar Flowers to anyone looking for a custom celebration cake! "

"Jennifer designed and created the most beautiful and perfect baby shower cake I could have ever dreamed of. We saved the sugar flowers and they are displayed in a shadow box in my, now, toddler's room."

"To say Jennifer went above and beyond for us is an absolute understatement. She made every step of the process fun and tasty! From designing the cake, to tastings; from including us in her creative process to transporting the entire cake for us, Jen was a treasure to us and helping make our special day incredible. We have been married 5 years and our sugar flowers still look breath taking, as well! Also, we ate our top tier for our one year anniversary and it was STILL delicious!! "
